Super Star Rajnikanth’s magic, Shankar’s ROBO was a Trend setter in Indian Film History. Successively, ROBO-2 getting ready as a sequel with massive budget of 3.5 billion is about to release in 2017.

Earlier on 20th evening the first look of the movie has been launched at Mumbai in 3D effects by Lyca Productions. Bollywoood, Kollywood and Tollywood celebrities garnered at the official launch including, Sharukh khan, Salman Khan, Kamal Hassan and others Hosted by Karan Johar.

The sequel story is expected to be lining up with the main concept of first part, apparently Akshay Kumar will play the negative role with Amy Jackson as his lady. Akshay Kumar as Dr. Richard will be working on a science project that meant to enhance the power of human abilities.  Accidentally the medicine turns out on him beasting his powers creating massacre. Rajni as Dr. Vaseegar is requested to handle the situation and he ropes in Chitti robo with an upgraded version of Dr. Bora’s nuclear schema. Initially chitti seeming to control Richard ends up shifting to his side, How Vaseegar will handle them both at the end is the story line.

As we know Akshay Kumar has replaced the role of Hollywood Star Arnold who was expected to sign in considering the remuneration, Market existence and Perfect Face for the Antagonist role in movie. "It took 3 hours to get the make-up work done" says Akshay Kumar, as the poster unveils it justified his statement about the role. Hollywood stunt master Kenny Bates is roped in for the project who has worked for Pearl Harbour, Transformers and Die Hard.

However the movie is expected to hit the screens next Diwali in 2017.
