Sankarabharanam Awards: In the inaugural issue of Sankarabharam Awards, famous actors Aamir Khan, Junior NTR and Dhanush are said to have won top laurels, it was declared by the organisers on Monday. The award ceremony will take place
on Tuesday, in the city.

Sankarabharanam Awards were formed in the honour of famous and veteran filmmakers, K. Vishwanath by a popular actress Tulasi. Who is to congratulate the winners from 5 film industries that include artists from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. He stands for the unity of our cinema, a beautiful aesthetic medium that knows no boundaries of geography or language.” She further adds that though the list of awardees will be a long one, including technicians and artists from Telugu cinema, thus "We have four categories across industries this year. This is because we had less time to
organise the event this year. From next year, we will plan much in advance with a more uniform list.”

The actress had also confirmed that Bollywood film actors Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt have won the best actor title. Respectively for their incredible and outstanding performances in Dangal and Udta Punjab. Meanwhile, Junior NTR has succeeded in grabbing the best actor male for his awesome role in JanathaGarage; And Dhanush for best director for his Tamil directorial debut Pa Pandi.
On the Malayalam side, it's actor Dulquer Salmaan, as the best male actor for his superb role in Malayalam film Oru Vadakkan Selfie.
